Alessia is a Michigan native, growing up North of Detroit. Both of her parents are of Italian heritage. Her father, Tony Fionda, emerged into the acting world while supporting Alessia at auditions. The two have been in productions together, such as the short film Glass Holiday. Alessia's interest in acting stems from her participation in theater in her early teens as well as from her desire to perform at an even younger age. She was a member in various productions throughout her high school education. After high school, she began starring in short films while attending Oakland University. Alessia has earned a Bachelor's degree from Oakland University majoring in Communications and minoring in Theatre. Since graduating, she has continued her craft as well as taking an interest in writing and directing. She made her directorial debut with her screenplay, "Give Us a Smile", which Alessia is also starring in.
