Lucas Silva

Lucas Silva is a colombian filmmaker doing films about africa and afrocolombia. documentaries and features. some of his movies : the creole kings of champeta, sons of benkos, "alabaos, gualies and graveyards", Black Rapsody and Divine Melodies ( short feature ), 2019 . hi created his production company, Hollywoodoo Films. I am a filmmaker and screen writer. During 15 years I realized documentaries on afro-Colombian culture, ethnic minorities, and other popular cultures of my country, Colombia. The major part of my work is devoted to the heritage of the African culture and its presence in America. Right now i just finished my first fiction short film, "DIVINE MELODIES" for which i have received financing from Proimagenes which is Colombia's financing film division. I am also working on the writing and development of a Feature Film Fiction project.
