Cortney Sargent

Cortney Sargent is a Texas transplant who grew up in Mississippi to a loving single mother and 3 siblings. He picked up his first DSLR camera in 2008 and got his filmmaking start in 2009 in church directing a live camera crew, and editing the weekly television and radio broadcast. He went on to start several businesses, become an author, and an award-winning graphic designer. He moved to Texas in 2017 with his wife and kids in pursuit of business opportunities and to be closer to family. His entrepreneurial background coupled with his technical skills, hustle, and heart for people makes him a unique breed of filmmaker. Cortney is no newbie to bringing stories to life and has over a decade of directing, video editing, and producing experience-experience that led him to write and direct his first movie and successfully take it from script to playing on the big screen in only 5 months with a sold-out theatre. Plus he's a nice guy that you definitely want to have in your corner. "We're all on different paths and journey's in life, but if we work together as one and find the synergy in our differences, we can make that journey better by going up together. My superpower is creatively visualizing any idea and bringing the right people and resources together to transform that idea into reality.
