The Carmen band was a Pogressive/Flamenco rock band. They were originally based out of Los Angeles, California. It included David Clark Allen lead vocals/guitar, John Glascock Bass, Angela Allen Vocals/Mellotron/Mini Moog, Paul Fenton drums and Roberto Amaral percussion/vocals. Their stage show featured both Angela and Roberto Flamenco dancing on a specially amplified stage. Carmen released three albums: Fandangos in Space (1973), Dancing on a Cold Wind (1974), and The Gypsies (1975). The band later moved to England. Where famous Art Rock artist David Bowie noticed them. Both Bowie's "Diamond Dogs" and Carmen's "Fandangos..." were produced by Tony Visconti in 1973. And he then included them in his "1984 Floor Show" tour. Which also appeared on NBC "Midnight Special" Episode 2.10 on November 9, 1973.
