Assata Renay

Assata Renay is an American Singer, Songwriter, Actress and advocate for self love and healing. She is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and mother of 7 year old daughter Ashtyn Michelle. Assata's sound can be described as soulful, inspirational Rhythm & Blues. The gift of music started with her late grandfather who was a blues guitarist performing on Bourbon Street. The musical lineage doesn't stop there, as Assata's mother and father both settled into careers in the music industry as well. In 2019, Assata Renay made her National television debut on Abc's hit singing competition show "American Idol." Assata sang her way through 5 rounds including the infamous Hollywood Week filmed in California. Assata finished strong in Hawaii taking home with her the experience of a lifetime along with the title of "American Idol Top 40 Finalist". As of today, Assata is working on her second original independent album along with homeschooling Ashtyn and counseling others through their spiritual journey. The Assata Renay experience is truly one of a kind filled with truth and the pursuit of love and happiness.
