Nico Yasko was born in Okinawa, Japan to an American father, and an Uruguayan mother. He grew up speaking both English and Spanish. His father was a marine so he moved all over the world as a kid. After Japan, he lived in (in order) San Diego, California; Montevideo, Uruguay; Conakry, Guinea; Bangkok, Thailand; Okinawa, Japan; Idyllwild, California; Grenoble, France; and Los Angeles, California. In between all of these moves, there was a lot of traveling, and he also was able to pick up French when he lived in Africa. For high school, he studied as a theater/acting major at the prestigious Idyllwild Arts Academy, which was recently rated the best high school for the arts in America (https://www.niche.com/k12/idyllwild-arts-academy-idyllwild-ca/rankings/) and he was the only 4-year theater senior at graduation. The next year he was accepted into UCLA's Theater, Film, and Television department as an acting major. The program had a less than 1% acceptance rate for the year he applied. The summer of his Freshman year at UCLA he completed shooting on his first feature film Signal To Noise as the lead character Henry Marquez.
