Laura Gilbert

Laura Anne Gilbert was born on July 27, 1995, in Sydney, Australia to Australian parents. She is the eldest of two, having one younger brother. Laura graduated from Roseville College with her Higher School Certificate at the end of 2013. She continued her studies at the University of New South Wales and graduated with a Bachelor of Music and Bachelor of Education in early 2019. Laura has been playing both piano and trumpet since she was 7-years-old and has been the recipient of a music scholarship and an array of other musical awards. Throughout her education, Laura has performed in a wide variety of different ensembles including orchestras, jazz big bands, concert bands, Latin conjuntos, and Balinese gamelan ensembles. Laura has successfully built a personal brand and presence on social media after going viral online at the end of 2017 for dressing as the fictional character Harley Quinn. Through her hobby of cosplay, Laura has been flown around the world to portray fictional characters at various conventions and host a variety of different events. Laura has presented for a variety of Australian Cartoon Network projects and is a permanent host for their girls YouTube channel titled "Unicorn Squad" (2019). She frequently attends premiers, openings and other events as an established online figure in her home city of Sydney.
