Gregory Motton is a playwright, film maker, author and translator. His plays have been widely performed in Britain and abroad, including the Royal Court, Comedie Francaise, Theatre de L'Odeon, Stats Teater Malmo. They include Cat and Mouse(sheep), Gengis Amongst the Pygmies, and The World's Biggest Diamond. He has written and directed Dracula the Messiah, a trilogy of films produced by Two-Cities Films. He is also known for political writing, including A Working Class Alternative To Labour (which is in the House of Commons Library) as well as one of the principle translators of Strindberg. He received the Goran O Eriksson award from the Swedish Writers Guild in Strindberg's centenary year, 2012.
