Teresa is a singer actor and presenter. She studied Music, Education and ARTS (Theatre), completing her studies at the University of New South Wales. It was here where she worked under the direction of Rochelle Whyte and Mark Mitchel in the production of The Memorandum. She then combined her skills in voice and acting with dance at NIDA, training in Musical Theatre under the tutelage of Simon Masterton, Mitchel Butel, Emma Hawthorne and Nicholas Brown (NIDA). Teresa continues her music training with vocal coach Simon Masterton. She furthered her ON-CAMERA acting skills at NIDA in late 2016, studying Screen Acting with Emma Jackson. Teresa worked on the development of Jatinga, as part of the Invisible Circus Women's Festival at Kings Cross Theatre in 2016 where she was invited to play a lead role in the 2017 - sold out - world premier, under the direction of Suzanne Millar for Bakehouse Theatre Company. Thereafter, Teresa has been involved in various short films and content for online and on screen, including guest appearing in short film 'Girl and Body', directed by Charlotte Mars (Gayby Baby) and starring alongside Hugh Jackman in QANTAS' Celebrating Australian Diversity campaign amongst her 2018 endeavors. Teresa trained with Sharon Lynn (TV ProGlobal), where she extended her ability to effectively host and present engaging content for online markets, particularly in the genres of Children's Entertainment and Charity - Documentary presenting, which is complimented by an in depth knowledge gained from her qualifications in Music, ARTS Theatre and Education. She also began working with King Studios to deliver exciting vocal clarity as a Voiceover Artist. Teresa worked on the Musical Theatre based show, 'Soul Cabaret' alongside fellow seasoned performers Madison Mckoy (Miss Saigon, South Pacific), Katrina Retallic (Big Fish, South Pacific, The Adams Family Musical) and Damon Grebert-Wade (Brent Street, Grease the Arena Experience) at The Camelot Lounge in Sydney. Teresa's performed in the acclaimed Musical Theatre production, 'The Things I Could Never Tell Steven' (Broadway, Sydney Fringe, West End) a new original Australian comedy written by Australian composer and lyricist Jye Bryant in Darlinghurst, Sydney. She also guest starred in the new ABC show, The Unlisted in early 2019 during her pregnancy. As a diverse performer, Teresa attributes her multicultural upbringing as having influenced much of the versatility in her work. She was raised in the Northern Territory to part Asian-New Zealander parents. She brings this diversity and more to both stage and screen, and enjoys the study of character and voice in particular.
