Juan Mario Bejar .. Some stars are born brilliant and others charge their brightness as they develop their talent, such as the case in JUAN MARIO BEJAR, born in Ambato, Ecuador, who takes up his artistic career in this country, determined to succeed as a singer and actor. In the " Land of Flowers and Fruits " , 132 Km. south of Quito, JUAN MARIO discovered his love for the arts when he was barely 6 years old, sharing performances with troupes of school children. Five years later he won a contest for reciting the poem " To My Mother ", and represented his school in a municipal contest declamation. Driven by these successes, in his school theater group he had the leading role in several dramas and comedies, besides singing with the choir ensemble. The visual arts also attracted the young actor, who at the age of 13 won a painting contest at the " Leonardo Murialdo " High School of the " Padres Josefinos " with a picture of the Virgin Mary. This work impressed the rector, Rev. Francisco Mena, which was exhibited in one of the lounges. A year later, JUAN MARIO was appointed head of the Boy Scouts Troop of the High School, created a group of " Lobatos " and composed his first melody; " The Hymn of the Lobato ", which he sang in front of all his peers. In the High School Choir, JUAN MARIO shared successful performances at theaters in Ambato, Riobamba and Quito; and to fulfill his military service, stood out as a speaker, by which he presented an emotive speech at the end of conscription, in addition he was rewarded for his contribution to a Labor Day Mural. Having fulfilled his duty as a conscript, he emigrated to the United States of America, where his parents were already living, and took acting, singing and dancing classes, thinking of consolidating his artistic talent. With this preparation, JUAN MARIO recorded his first records and his debut in a feature film is made, then he alternated with Sandra Pena and Hugo Armando in the movie in Spanish " Dreams of Sandra " and took part with David Nehdar in the feature film in English " Thrill of the Kill " , in addition to starring in the show " Penthouse One " with Kate Sumner ( daughter of singer Sting ) - Richard Tyson ( Kindergarten Cop, There's Something About Mary, Kingpin, Me Myself & Irene. ) and Lacey Chabert, star of " Mean Girls " ( Lost in Space, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past, Elevator Girl. ). The musical career of JUAN MARIO is compared as a singer of " class apart " by its style and passionate interpretation, includes three compact discs and is now preparing his fourth, whose repertoire includes previously unreleased tracks of his own inspiration.
