The success of the school has been around for many years being lead by the well known coach Horace Sutherland. He has been around for a great period of time and has made the best of any NY high school athlete he has coached. When Edmunds was interviewed about the Coaching and the team his response was " The coaching and the team is not like any team I've ever been on. Its just different in terms of the way things get done. Everyone works hard , pushes each other and is always doing what needs to be done to be great. Coaches like Sutherland , Griffiths , Cloud and Craig are all that we need to become great and keep the legacy of Robeson going. I love my teammates and they push me to become the great athlete I aspire to be . My teammates Brandon Alexander , Jaden Akwei , Michaiah Austin, Mervyn Bowry , Matthew Cooper Malik Melhado and Zander Mclean are among the top athletes in my High School league (PSAL). They are very hardworking athletes who get the job done. The girls on my team are also very hardworking as well because they always give everything they have. Quinzel Bazilia , Toshel Goffe , Leanne McDonald , Shawnakay Peart ,and Laila White are also among the top athletes in my High School league. All the athletes in Paul Robeson are just great all around athletes. The range from Sprints to Mid Distance to Long Distance to Field and Hurdles as well. We are looking forward to a great and healthy season and off season . Do what you love and love what you do. " Edmunds spoke very highly of his team and by the looks of it they have their eyes locked on a great season. At the age of only 16, Jaylin is number 7 on Brooklyn's List Of Most Famous Teenagers Of All Time... only behind "The Notorious B.I.G , Lil Kim, Young B , Lil Mama , Nas , and Carmelo Anthony. While making the list at all time numbered 7 he hits the list as number 2 for athletes only behind Carmelo Anthony surpassing all other athletes from 2002-2019 including all Coney Island successes. At such an early age in his career he has claimed his spot in athletics and as of right now he is here to stay. We look forward to what the future holds for Jaylin and how much more he will accomplish in the future.
