Wade Austin

Wade Austin is an award-winning writer, director, and actor, and core member of the West Texas-based indie filmmaking company Beyond Star Films. Wade's love for the creative arts started as a kid, where he would fill journals with countless stories and movie ideas, often acting them out with his younger brother, Cason. He began acting in high school, and continued studying acting into college with plans to pursue a professional career, before he fell in love with writing and directing his own films his junior year of college. The first two films Wade wrote, "The Brotherhood" and "On a Different Page" both won Best Picture at his collegiate short film festival in Abilene, Texas. His third short film, "The Jones's New TV", which he wrote and directed, is in post-production, and his first feature-length screenplay, "Sleeping Shepherds" is scheduled to shoot in July 2021.
