Ronald Pelin was born in Tallinn, Estonia. Growing up in Kesklinn, Tallinn city center, Ronald discovered his passion for fine arts long before acting and enrolled at a local Art School. Having a passion for watching American and European films, he never thought about pursuing an acting career. Till a filmmaker, Anu Pennanen, offered him to audition for her film 'Friendship' Sõprus-Druzhba (2006), and Ronald got his first role. In a year, after a film premiere, he got himself into drama courses at local state theatre - Vene Teater. After graduating from high school, Ronald decided to try his luck to attend drama school in Moscow, Russia. He got himself to the Boris Shchukin Theater Institute and trained there for a year, and then to The Russian Academy of Theater Arts - GITIS for another year. Each year he was trying to pass a highly selective audition for the Moscow Art Theater School and eventually got himself in, where he successfully did a 4-year acting program. After graduation, alongside his course mates and artistic leader, Viktor Ryzhakov founded a theater company - The 9th Studio of Moscow Art Theater 'JulyEnsemble', playing performances on the stages of the Moscow Art Theater, Vakhtangov Theater and Meyerhold Theater Center. Having a wide range of characters in productions of the company did such notable roles as Aleksandr Vershinin in 'By-Chekhov. Three sisters' and Kasparas in 'Several Conversations About (Christ)'. Willing to expand his professional horizons did an acting program at The Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute in Los Angeles. And since then started playing roles mostly in film and television. His first acting experience in big film production was a small part of Christopher Nolan's time-bending spy film Tenet (2020). But he didn't make it to the final edit of the movie. His next screen roles would be leading characters in short films. Then he was invited as an uprising talent to attend a Casting Bridge Forum during the Russian Film Week in London, where he met British, American and Russian casting directors. He was spotted then by a casting director who got him to audition for Klim Shipenko's two film projects. The first audition for a TV series project didn't pan out, but he landed a role at his next audition in December (2023), starring Alexander Petrov. His upcoming role is Yoni Hirshman in Sergey Ursulyak's biopic Pravednik (2023), starring Aleksandr Yatsenko.
