Brad Small is an American independent filmmaker from the Houston, Texas area. His childhood was spent abroad living in countries such as Norway and Australia. His interest in film began in his high school years when he was assigned a project to make a film about the Watergate scandal. Small's major influences in film are Quentin Tarantino and James Cameron. As well as being a director, Small is also a writer, producer, and on occasion actor, though he prefers to be behind the camera instead of in front of it. Small learned film editing at Lone Star College in the Houston area, but has no formal schooling on directing; he instead opts to study other filmmakers and learn from their examples. In 2019, Small started his own film production company called Grey Fox Films.
