Yunior Reyes

Yunior Reyes was born on November 24th,1996 in Queens, New York. He is the only son of his mother and youngest of his father's kids. His mother and Father came to New York from Dominican Republic in the 1980's escaping the extreme poverty that plagued their families. Unfortunately, Yunior's parents split, leaving his mother to raise him all on her own, in turn she had to work long hours and his aunt stepped up to take care of him while her sister worked. His Aunt awakened the love for Film and Television as a young boy turning him into a young cinephile and fellow Novela lover. She also encouraged his artistic side as he drew comic books inspired by his love of Spiderman, Batman and Superman. When Yunior Graduated High School in 2015, He wasn't sure what he wanted to study in college, so he majored in liberal arts at Queens Borough Community College. His First Year was a rough one, struggling to find inspiration and find his passion until he took his first speech class. He left Queensborough after his first year and joined LaGuardia Community College's Mass Communication program in 2017. There he exceled in all his speech classes and met his Mentor Louis Lucca who pushed him to join the CUNY Wide Speech Contest in which he was runner up. Even after all of this success he felt like he was missing something. He decided to try something he never thought of but always made sense in hindsight, he took an acting class taught by one of his communication Professors, Nancy Pelowski. At first, he was abrasive and defensive when it came to allowing himself to be vulnerable, but he came to love acting and it became his passion. In 2019 Yunior decided to pursue a career in acting and got his first role as "Hector" in the short film " Eagle" 2020 by Jose Acevedo, which was his first audition ever. This led him to another project By Shanel Charles called " The Morning After" 2020. After COVID-19 hit, it was a severe time for everyone, but he took the time to hone his craft and become a better actor reading up and studying about most all methods of acting. In August 2021 he led an ensemble Off-Off Broadway play by the name of "One Suit" written and directed by Klara Jean Paige. Another milestone for his acting career was getting to Signed to Kreativ Artists Entertainment in December 2021. They got his first costar role in Law-and-Order Season 21 EP.3 "Filtered Life". He continues to audition and work at his craft tirelessly as he continues to grow as an actor and a creative.
