Kathryn Walsh, professional pianist and organist (pipe and electric) employed with the Arch Diocese of Denver and plays regularly at several churches in the Denver metro area. Kathryn is a Colorado native and the oldest of 4 children born to Kevin and Linda Walsh (actress). Kathryn began playing the piano at the age of 3 and is an accomplished musician who is regularly asked to play for services at churches across the USA. Film work: Kathryn was cast as the hand double in the 2019 short film: Among Us, directed by Stephan Eigenmann. Experience: 2016 to present: Studying the organ with Gwen Blumenschein. Kathryn has experience in both the pipe organ and electric organ. She has played at and/or has been invited to play at the following churches for either full Masses, recital, or instruction. Christ on the Mountain, Lakewood, CO 80228 - Music Director Ron Seggerman - Employed as church organist (12/17 to present), Kathryn plays full Masses, Stations of the Cross, and First Friday Masses along with Sundays in Lent, Easter, Advent and Christmas Season. Notre Dame University, South Bend, Indiana (7/2019) - played three organs: in the Basillica of the Sacred Heart sanctuary, and Music Hall - music director Craig Cramer, and Andrew McShane. Saint Mary's Catholic Church, Littleton, CO (2/19) music director Michael Kilcoyne. Saint Augustine Catholic Church, Severn, MD (1/19) - played the 112 year old pipe organ - music director Ron Xifo 410-796-1520 Saint Stephans Episcopal Church, Aurora CO 80011 (2/18 to present) - Plays organ for full service. Cathedral Bacilica of the Immaculate Conception - Denver, CO 80203 - Invited to play the organ by Dr. Mark Lawlor, Associate professor at St. John Vianney Theological Seminary. Kathryn has also attended organ concerts per request by Phil Bordeleau, Director of Sacred Music.
