Clara Zoya Castellan was born on June 29, 2003, in Mountain View, California to her Romanian mother, and British-American father, the oldest of two children. She was brought up in the Bay Area, living there until she was fourteen years old, moving to Los Angeles to pursue acting. Her very first projects were stage performances and live theatre, ranging from characters such as Helen of Troy from "The Iliad and the Odyssey", to Eponine Thenardiér in "Les Miserables" Following Clara's appearance in various short and student films, she was urged to train at prestige drama institutions. Most specifically her attendance to New York's Stella Adler Conservatory, and a brief season at London's Identity School of Acting. Frost's most notable projects that have been art-house and independently funded. At age sixteen, she starred in Unseen Gardens (2020), a film by her brother, and director Stefan Cavillo. The film chronicles her character, Violet, who encounters realistic visions after her best friend Eiffel (played by Mina Gardi)'s death. Also during this time, she wrapped a lead role in another project by low-budget production company 'Amulet' in their cinema debut, Emmaline (2020). She plays young Emma Brookmore, a young girl navigating her way through the society of the ever-so popular 'Jazz Age'. The films, which were both filmed before the pandemic, were pitched for film festivals, but unable to move forward because of the worldwide shutdown that followed. Shortly after turning seventeen, Clara was cast in a small supporting role by Grammy-nominated DJ, brother of Spike Jonze, Sam I (A.K.A Sam Spiegel). The film was called Heaven (2020). Alongside double Academy-Award nominee Catherine Keener, and the film's namesake & dancing extraordinaire Nevaeh Meraz, the film showcases Meraz's own experiences and love of dance. The film had a limited and small release in October 2020, and received great critic review.
