Riley Russill is an American Cinematographer and Photographer. Born on April 15, 1998 in Los Alamos, New Mexico, Russill grew up in a town known for the development of the atomic bomb, famously known as the "Manhattan Project", during World War II. His father, Ryan Russill, is a Key Grip & has been on films such as "Terminator 2: Judgement Day", "Premonition", "Stay Alive". After a brief time pursuing a degree in Architecture & Business Management he began his freelance career. Since the age of 19, Riley's work has been consistently sought out by a number of prominent advertising clients and media outlets, including the Associated Press, The Government of Mexico (Visit Mexico), the Environmental Defense Fund, Snap Inc., New Mexico State Tourism, Bridgestone, Nature's Path Organics, Kashi and many more. He has photographed a number of recognizable faces including New York Times best-selling author Anne Hillerman, 60 Meter World Record Holder Christian Coleman, Team U.S.A Olympic Goalkeeper Tim Howard, Team USA Racewalker Robyn Stevens, Captain Obvious of Hotels.com and many others. His work is regularly seen in magazines, airport banners, & subway advertisements. Most recently, on subway's in Chicago for New Mexico True and on the cover of GuestLife New Mexico. He documented and photographed New Mexico United's (USL) historic U.S. Open Cup run during their inaugural season in 2019. His photographs are usually on display in local galleries, & project based - annual exhibitions. Riley has developed a unique style and voice within the industry, often allowing the depth of storytelling to convey powerful feelings of change. With an uncanny ability to portray both a contemporary & old-fashioned approach within his work, Riley has a way of gently hinting towards a profound realism on anything he collaborates on. He is best known for his work on the action drama, Tramp (2020) & narrative short, Chemicals (2020) both directed by Levi Lobo. Russill's first feature film in America as a cinematographer; Tramp (2020), is slated to finish production by the end of 2020. Russill has also appeared in the CBS crime drama T.V. Show, Interrogation (2019).
