Harry Varthakouris is a successful singer-songwriter who also happens to be the son of the legendary greek singer Yiannis Parios, who has sold more records than any other artist in Greek recording history. At the tender age of 10 Harry became the youngest recipient of a platinum record when he composed and sang, with his father, the classic song "Pio kali i monaxia" (It's better to be alone) Two years later he was included among an all-star line-up of singers and he sang by himself the first chorus of the Greek "We are the World" : "Gia ta paidia" (For the children). He studied Music Synthesis in the renowned Berklee College of Music and upon his return to Greece he started working as a producer. A year later he composed the whole album of Parios' "Parea me ton Harry" and a songwriter was (re)born. That record includes the, again, classic duet "Erotas sinai tharro" (I think it's love). Since 2000 Harry has taken his time releasing just three solo albums of his own "Adespotes oi Nyhtes (Stray Nights), Adynamia mou (My Weakness) and Arhodas tou Kosmou (Master of the World), including big hits such as his number one megahit "Vradia Aksimerota", also "Adynamia mou", "Fonaxe pio dynata", "Ta'pia" and more. He has also written, arranged and produced hit songs for other successful greek recording artists, such as Antonis Remos, Despina Vandi, Sakis Rouvas, Natassa Theodoridou, Stan Antipariotis and others and, of course, close to twenty songs for his father, plus music for news shows, daytime and primetime talk shows, Radio Station IDs and commercials, most notably for Vodka Serkova, a paneuropean ad campaign. His songs have been licensed for film and TV numerous times. From December 2012 up until now, he is one of the four sons of legends (the others being the sons of Dionysiou, Bithikotsis and Kokotas) and have toured and sold out all over the world, including Canada, US, Australia, Africa, Israel, Germany, Great Britain, Cyprus and two greek summer tours covering almost all of the country, with their show "A Tribute to the Legends - Songs of our fathers". On September 2019 he and his wife participated in Star Channel's hit reality show "Globetrotters" which the won and donated more than 30.000 euros to charities. August of 2020 finds Harry being the host of the Greek version of Big Brother. On October 2020 he will release his long awaited new single, 10 years after his previous one. He is happily married with Adelina Varthakouris since 2010 and has two gorgeous daughters, Melodia and Leona.
