Adriano Cabral is a non-binary person who uses they/them pronouns and goes by "Adi." Adi is the Assistant Professor of Voice & Movement at the University of Nevada, Reno and co-author of "Here's How to Teach Voice and Communication Skills to Transgender Women." They have experience teaching at the University of West Georgia, New School for Arts and Academics, and Arizona State University. They hold their MFA in Theatre Performance from Arizona State University and BA in Musical Theatre from Rhode Island College. Cabral is a proud member and Board member of the Voice and Speech Trainer's Association (VASTA) and a certified teacher of Fitzmaurice Voicework®, Knight-Thompson Speechwork, and Reiki Master. They artistically identify as an actor, dialect coach, intimacy choreography, writer, and director. As a dialect coach, Adi has worked at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities in Arvada, CO, The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis in Missouri, The New Repertory Theatre in Boston, MA, and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in NYC. As an intimacy choreographer/coordinator, they have worked at UC Davis, Northwestern University, University of Nevada, Reno, UC Irvine, and Reno Little Theater. As an actor, Adriano has performed around the globe. They have worked on projects in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, New York, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Japan, Colombia, and Indonesia in theatre and film. They continue to pursue their own acting career while following their love of teaching. The students they have coached can be found on Broadway, touring nationally, starring on Netflix original series, and pursuing their own education further. Their clients have won awards for musical theatre excellence and scholarships for academic success.
