The author-performer of the Russian chanson, songwriter. Already at the age of five, the boy showed musical abilities: he himself learned to play the accordion and picked up all known melodies by ear. Anatoly continued his musical education at the Glinka Dnepropetrovsk Music College. Military service was also not in vain for the future composer: he spent two years in the Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and Moldova in Kiev, and simultaneously attended classes at the Kiev Conservatory. Immediately upon returning from the army, Anatoly Dneprov created a jazz band - the first in the city. The group became so popular that musicians were invited to concerts of all-Union significance. Already in 1971, Anatoly Dneprov moved to Moscow, where he began work with the most famous performers of that time: Joseph Kobzon, Nani Bregvadze, the ensembles "Singing Hearts", "Funny Guys", "Gems", "Flames", "Blue Bird". Any song written by Dneprov instantly became a hit. Songs such as "The Whole World" (verses by Pavel Leonidov), "Clouds in the River" (verses by Kokhanovsky), "I will not forget this summer", "17 years" (verses by Kharitonov), "Russia" (verses by Olga Pavlova) - many still remember and love. Then, in 1979, Anatoly left for New York. He writes songs in English and Russian, works in night clubs, and toured the United States and Canada. The songs "Pleasing" to verses by Mikhail Tanich, "Confession with Lieutenant Golitsyn", "Russia" to verses by Olga Pavlova, "Stars in the Meadow" to verses by Pavel Leonidov become popular in the Russian emigration, and after a while in the USSR. But Anatoly did not stay in the USA for long: already in 1987 the composer returned to Moscow. As he himself later admitted: "tortured nostalgia." In 1989, he became a laureate of the Song of the Year festival, and since then the singer has toured with solo concerts throughout the country and released CDs. Anatoly Semenovich died on May 5, 2008 in a car on the road from Volgograd to Rostov-on-Don, on a highway 18 km from the city of Belaya Kalitva, where he was supposed to have a concert. 50 km from Kamensk-Shakhtinsky, the 61-year-old Dneprov became sharply ill. Apparently, the heart stopped.
