Shilpa Rani

Indian-American actress born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. Shilpa's interest in entertainment began when she was 6 years old and watched her first Bollywood film titled Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. Her parents didn't have the money to send her to dancing or acting school, so started teaching herself dance moves from various films. She understood expressions was key in engaging with the viewer, which encouraged her to pursue Psychology in school. Shilpa is a graduate from Wayne State University where she studied Psychology and Communications. She moved to California to pursue the entertainment world and also completed her Masters from the University of Southern California. Shilpa struggled with acne scars all her life and has successfully became the voice of young Indian-females in beauty. She has been acting in many successful Indian music videos as a lead and encourages young females to embrace their flaws. Shilpa has a strong desire to work in Hollywood as a young Indian-American actress. She believes she represents the face of today's Indian women and by being fluent in Hindi and Punjabi she can perform best of both worlds.
