Dudley Williams

Dudley Williams was an accomplished and talented dancer. In 1961, he joined the Martha Graham Company and began appearing with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. In 1964, he left Martha Graham and became a member of the Alvin Ailey group where he remained as a performing member as well as a company teacher until his retirement in 2005. His dancing career included leading performances in numerous productions, including his signature solo, "I Wanna Be Ready" from Ailey's masterpiece, "Revelations."
