Actor, athlete and musician. Govinda Singh Sandhu was born in Birmingham, United Kingdom. From the age of 5, Govinda showed great interest in sports and performing arts. He started Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and Stagecoach Acting. After quickly progressing in martial arts, it was his main focus outside school. At age 11, Govinda became the youngest in his association at Chongshin Do Mixed Martial Arts Academy, to achieve a black stripe (one belt off a full black belt) and was recognized as an Instructor. Rising through the ranks, Govinda became the youngest black belt just at age 14 (2014), with the title of Sensei, as a Senior Instructor. Not only was Govinda's passion MMA, but he progressed through the English Field Hockey player system and represented his county, playing at the regional level and representing The Midlands. All from the ages of U14-18. At just 15 (2015), Govinda made his first team debut for his local men's hockey club "Sutton Coldfield Hockey Club". At 18 (2018), he won the Midlands Premier League title with Barford Tigers Hockey Club in the 2018/2019 season. During the summer of 2019, Govinda transferred to the newly promoted National League Club, Lichfield Hockey Club, where he made his first team debut in the National League at 19 (2019) at the beginning of the season. Govinda's interest in acting began again after achieving his black belt (2014). He was involved in many student short films and became a local photographer favorite as a model and sports model. Whilst starting university in 2018, studying Psychology and Business, Govinda continued on with his acting and modeling. In 2018, Govinda was involved in multiple sports photoshoots ranging from MMA, American Football, Football, Boxing, Kickboxing, Field Hockey and Gym shoots. However, his most noticeable non-sports shoot was a test shoot for Peaky Blinders in 2019. At university, one of Govinda's modules required students to submit a 10-minute video around the topic of the research title. Using his academic and acting abilities, Govinda developed and starred in a project called "FoundIT Office". Based on the comedic TV series, The Office US. His group achieved a First-Class Honours and the short film itself, is favorably used as one of Govinda's show-reels. At 21 (2021), Govinda was cast to star in the short film "Follower" where he played the role of a good Samaritan, portrayed as a stalker at the beginning of the film. Later in 2021, Govinda was cast to play the "MMA Team Trainer", alongside Tiger Shroff and Vikas Bahl's upcoming Indian Hindi-language sci-fi action thriller film "Ganapath (2023)". In this Bollywood film, Govinda's character shares the stage with Tiger Shroff's character (Ganapath). Later that year, Govinda was cast as the lead role in Horror House Productions "The Unusual" where he played a troubled and anxious teen, "Simon". Not only has Govinda achieved a substantial amount through sports and acting, but he has also been working on his own music. After learning to play the piano and drums, Govinda passed the theory and practical grades for both instruments. He started composing his own music at age 11 whilst attending the Music Technology club at school. At just 14 (2014), he distributed his first single, "Fury", to streaming platforms. "Fury" was an electronic dance song and one of Govinda's first completed projects. Since then, Govinda has been developing his music production skills by entering many music competitions throughout his teenage years. In the year 2021, Govinda had been working on tracks for artists as a ghost producer, where he was fine-tuning his production skills. In 2023 Govinda aims to release his own music. Govinda's charismatic personality has earned him over 17,000 followers on TikTok, whilst achieving over 1.7 million total likes on that platform. He showcases his music, acting and sports. Often, he provides motivational content for young athletes following him. His most noticeable motivational project was a collaboration with Motiversity and Canadian Football Player, Emmanuel Arceneaux, where the project told a story about athletes coming back from injury and being better than they were before. Govinda's YouTube, Instagram and TikTok showcase the collaboration. In his videos, Govinda frequently states "If I can just let one person watching my content know that they are not alone and that our community will be here to help them get through their difficult times, then that is the reward for me." Govinda's community on TikTok are regarded as dedicated and loyal supporters of his work. Many leave comments on Govinda's posts claiming that his videos are "life-changing" for them. What seems to separate Govinda from other users on social media is that he engages regularly with his community and demonstrates integrity with them all. Despite all his social media attention around his sports and music, Govinda Sandhu has started to make noise on Twitter, regarding Superman Legacy. After changing his profile picture on Twitter one day, a Superman supporter stated that he resembled everything of Clark Kent. A warm, approachable, caring and huggable individual. Based on his personality, physique and acting experience, many of his supporters are coming to Govinda's aid to help him get seen by James Gunn and the casting directors of Superman Legacy. With the hope that he could get an audition. The hashtag "#govindasandhusuperman" is starting to make headway on Twitter, with fan art being shared with Govinda as Superman. Many Twitter users are starting to realize that Govinda Sandhu does resemble many traits of Superman, on a visual and personality level.
