Having grown up on a council estate in Croydon, James Murrell is a South London thoroughbred and proud of his working class roots. At the age of 10 his Mum woke him up at 3am to watch Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula and from here his dream to act was born. Film became his passion and he set his sights on becoming a screen actor. With an additional flair for fine art James' most notable piece of art is a portrait of musician Zac De La Rocha spitting his politically charged lyrics around him on the page. His creativity extended to music and James taught himself to play the guitar resulting in him touring the UK as the rhythm guitarist and supporting vocalist in a high octane metal rock band. Then in 2018 James finally followed his desire to act and trained in the Grotowski method with a London based theatre company fuelling his passion to make authentic drama resulting in 7 short films in the subsequent 2 years. James also plans to direct one day.
