Kiara Romero was born in Queens, New York to her Colombian mother, Tatiana, and her Puerto Rican father, Richard. She is bilingual and grew up speaking both English and Spanish. Kiara fell in love with dance and musical theater at a very young age. So combined with her strong singing voice, she is most definitely a triple threat. Kiara began her creative endeavors as a competitive dancer, training in various styles and performing leading roles in local theater productions. At the age of 15, Kiara was accepted into the Jazz and Contemporary Trainee Program at the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. She spent her last two years of high school committed to improving her training. This gave her the opportunity to perform the works of choreographers such as Angelica Stiskin, Mia Michaels, Akira Uchida, and many more. Kiara relocated to LA at the age of 18 and booked her first professional job as a high school dancer in the Netflix movie, "The Prom." This opportunity was followed by a lead in the Nickelodeon / Awesomeness feature film "The J Team."
