Timothy Lens

Timothy Lens was born in Chicago, Illinois. When he was in high school, his family moved from Chicago to Minneapolis, Minnesota, which sparked his interest in seeing what other cities across the country had to offer. Though he's had a love for music that extends as far back as he can remember, his affinity for music videos blossomed in the 90s as he became a regular viewer of The Box, an American TV channel where viewers were able to call in and request their favorite music videos for a fee. In a 2019 interview with VoyageATL magazine, he admits having made "a few" requests to the channel's 900-number until his mother received a "hefty phone bill" stating that he enjoyed watching the music videos of his favorite songs because the visuals always enhanced the song for him. In 2019, Timothy Lens finally decided to try his hand at shooting a music video after coming across aspiring artist with a song that he liked that didn't have visuals. He shot the video using only what he had at the time, which believe it or not was only an iPhone. After receiving positive feedback he decided to further pursue music video production, working with many local artists while developing his skill. Shortly after showing an obvious preference for the more complex and cinematic video concepts, he began to try shift more into cinematography and directing. After having assisted on projects with cinematographer Jonny Stuckmayer, director/cinematographer Ben Hughes, and several others, Timothy Lens is most known for Directing Music Videos in the Atlanta Metro.
