British actress Marie Cooper was born in Norwich, Norfolk, England. Marie studied music and trained as a vocalist at Access Creative College, before falling in love with theatre. With just a year of formal training, Marie began her acting career in open air theatre, street performance and small theatres in Norfolk. She is probably best known for her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher (Mags) in Moira Buffini's 'Handbagged'. She has also played American Socialite Mary-Ann Conklin in Noel Coward's 'Come into the Garden, Maud' and The Poet in Shakespeare's 'Timon of Athens'. Marie studied for her MA in Creative Entrepreneurship at the University of East Anglia in 2018, for which she received recognition for Outstanding Performance.
