His determination on reforming the local industry by introducing the audience to a cerebral and nonlinear storytelling has made him one of the best upcoming new generation Malaysian film director. Born on 13 February 1987 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Ikhwansha Hazer made his debut in the film industry as a scriptwriter for an award-winning romantic comedy film titled SEJOLI. He also best known as the author of an award-winning historic novel titled HANG NADIM 1525. Ikhwansha Hazer made his directorial debut in 2018 when he directed a feature film titled ESCAPE based on his own screenplay. With a production budget less than $150k, ESCAPE managed to be one of the most anticipated movie for the year 2020. Influenced by the ideas and products of the top director such as Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan, and David Fincher, Ikhwansha Hazer aims to bring Malaysian film industry on-to another level and to be recognized by the international audience and industries.
