Mark Anthony Short

I was born and raised on the south-side of Chicago; number six of eight children. My mother was a stay at home mom while my father was a minister at the church. Being in such a large family, I always wanted to stand out, I'm certain that's what fostered my love for playing characters and creating skits that would entertain my friends and family. I developed early on a desire to be on stage. I also had a fascination with Fire trucks and decided that's what I want to be when I grew up. Fast forward to today, with lots of hard work, determination, and a little luck, I am a Chicago Firefighter, who just happens to play a Fire Fighter on Chicago Fire, the TV show. So you can imagine, I am over the moon thrilled to have both my childhood dreams come together.
