Feras Almusharrie

Feras Abdullah Almusharria (Director, Writer) Born in Jeddah in the late '80s, Feras Almusharria is a self-taught independent and experimental filmmaker and a Film program developer in King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra). Having always been attracted to visual storytelling, Feras started his journey in the filmmaking realm in 2010 and throughout the years made more than 30 film contents between Short films "Gas vs Break (2017), No escape (2019)" to Youtube miniseries "Inside the bag (2016-17)" to commercial work for some of the biggest furniture companies in KSA such as "IKEA and Ashley Saudi National Day ads" and to artistic experimental travel videos "Journey of the mind (2019)", "Randomness (2018)". Also, Feras's contribution to the local filmmaking community could be summarized in two parts. The first part is establishing and leading the first film club in the Eastern Province which contains about 200 filmmakers meeting monthly in Ithra to network and collaborate on filmmaking projects. The second part is giving seminars on "No budget filmmaking" for the students in schools and universities yearly. He also is the main Saudi Film Festival 7th project manager and organizer in Ithra. Additionally, co-organized the 6th and 5th Editions of the same festival.
