Emerson Morley

Emerson Morley, a current high school student, grew up an avid reader and writer, and found a passion for telling stories early on. She starred in and wrote screenplay for her recent short film "The Valley" about her experiences as a student in high school with a learning disability. Emerson is an avid musician, and enjoys writing her own songs on the piano, and with her guitar and ukulele. She is also a passionate public speaker, and spoke at a 2020 TED event about the education system. Emerson is an athlete, and has competed as an equestrian for over seven years in both English and Western riding. She played lacrosse and soccer for several years as well. Aside from her more active pursuits, Emerson is versed in conversational Spanish. Above all, she is passionate about sharing her story and her experiences with mental health and learning disabilities. In the future, she aims to continue to raise awareness for through her writing and films, and looks forward to working on impactful projects in the future.
