Appeared as a gold miner with accurate era costume supplied by Paramount wardrobe and make up in Paramount Pictures, "Paint Your Wagon" with Clint Eastwood, Lee Marvin, Jean Seberg, Ray Walston. Filmed on the Melrose lot on soundstage with director Joshua Logan and full cast including Nitty Gritty Dirt Band members. Set proximity was next to Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin card table scene where Eastwood sang "Gold Fever" and also through various locations in the saloon scenes. Was in Hollywood due to music related business while touring as a bass player with a STAX records (Memphis Tenn.) artist from Pittsburgh PA. Recorded at STAX studios with Steve Cropper, performed on shows with Isaac Hayes, the Staple Singers, the Boxtops and TV shows with the Temptations. Played bass on the Motowns Marvelettes show in Philadelphia Pa. While in Hollywood, played bass in studio with Daryl Dragon, (Captain & Tennille) on a recording which included Frank Zappas keyboardist Don Preston. Also performed in a group produced by Motowns VP Mickey Stevenson at the Hollywood Palladium with Blue Cheer and Flash Cadillac and at the Troubadour club.
