Stuart-Chanley Muir (Scottish Gaelic: Stiùbhairt-Teànlaigh Muir; born January 13), known professionally as Chanley Muir, is a Scottish actor. He began acting professionally at the age of four, performing in a number of stage musicals, short films and made several television appearances in Scotland. Muir was born in the City of Glasgow, Scotland, the son of Patricia (née Hill) and James Muir, the third of four children, he has an older brother, a minutes-older twin sister and a younger sister. At age four, Muir attended The Scottish Youth Theatre (SYT), which lead to him starring as "Chip" in a local theatre production of "Beauty and the Beast". After this, he went on to have roles in numerous stage shows & musicals, eventually landing the title role of Oliver Twist in "Oliver!". Having played the role for almost a year, he was recast as "Jack 'The Artful Dodger' Dawkins" in the same production after he had grown 'too tall' over the summer break. Upon graduating from High School, he took time away from acting to attend University, gaining a BA degree in Political Sciences. He then went on to study Public Relations & Media with Advertising at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh. After only a week of returning to his acting career (in mid-2019), Chanley successfully auditioned for a leading role in the short film "Marco & Sebastian", followed quickly by the lead role of 'Jimmy Wilson' in short film "Out in the Cold". He landed the lead role of 'Peter' in short film "Exhibit", which was positively received at the Arrive20 Film screening and was selected for the 'Lift-Off Sessions' at Pinewood Studios. "Exhibit" was also be shown at the 6th International Coventry Film Festival in November 2020, having been nominated for three of it's Driver Awards, including "Best Actor [Short Film]".
