Anna Oberneder

Anna Oberneder was born on May 18, 1993 in Altoona, Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Mary (Fink) and Joseph C. Oberneder, a mining surveyor. Despite being born in the railroad town of Altoona, her family moved to Kittanning, Pennsylvania when she was 4 years old. It was around that time she discovered a love of singing and performing. Though she performed in community theater her entire childhood, her first major theater role came when she was a senior where she was cast as Kathy Selden in her high school's production of Singin' in the Rain. A few years later, she was cast in the community theater's production of Grease as Marty. Missing the stage after high school graduation, she competed for the Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Organization - a state preliminary to the Miss America Organization. She spent six years (2012-2017) competing for the prestigious crown and she quotes this as a "life changing experience and one that has changed her for the better".
