Kamen Staykov is a filmmaker based in Vancouver, Canada with roots closely tracing back to Bulgaria. Kamen would realize his passion for film at a young age. He would attend Burnaby North Secondary's Film and Broadcast program where he would start working on other students' films whilst also directing his own work. His directorial debut The Last Audition would be created by him at age seventeen and would become his first union project under UBCP/ACTRA. Exploring the Broadcasting world he worked on the access TV show Burnaby Connect which streamed monthly on Novus TV. Being recently enrolled in the School of Motion Picture Arts at Capilano University, he plans to get his bachelor's degree and move out to Los Angeles after his fourth year. Kamen is working on several other projects including, a horror/drama called Please Help Me, I'm Drowning this summer and a drama dedicated to his grandpa called The Bus That Never Stops. His aspiration is to direct his first full feature in his last year of university. He is building an extensive portfolio as a writer/director in an effort to make that a possibility.
