Nicola Prinsloo grew up in South Africa and went to Afrikaans primary and high schools. She participated in various cultural activities such as public speaking, theatre and stage management. She hopes to receive her degree in drama and theatre in 2021. She is a go-getter and never shies away from a challenge. She achieved various academic and cultural awards during her time in high school, which includes a gold certificate in stage management from the Eldotoneelfees and silver certificate in stage management from ATKV-tienertoneel in 2018. After achieving these awards, she realized that she prefers working behind the scenes of a production. As such, she immediately got involved in one of the projects on a Facebook group started by director Tim Greene during the 2020 corona virus pandemic lock down in South Africa. The project is titled 'The Ground Under' and is set to release in October 2020. This is the first production outside of university productions that she became a part of. After originally signing up to be a co-director for the project, she jumped at the chance to help organize the pre-production, production and post-production elements of the film - resulting in her being named the producer for the film.
