"Steve is a stalwart of Spurs and began working at White Hart Lane as a steward in 1987. He was working at the club when Paul Gascoigne made his home debut against Arsenal in 1988. Dukes progressed to become a steward in the players' tunnel at the Lane, before becoming assistant kit manager with responsibility for managing and maintaining the reserve team's kit during the 2005/06 season. A few months in, he stepped up to become kit manager and has worked under the stewardship of Martin Jol, Juande Ramos, Harry Redknapp, Andre Villas-Boas, Tim Sherwood, Mauricio Pochettino and José Mourinho in the years since then, closely liaising with the players and coaching staff to ensure their kit and equipment requirements are carefully met. Overseeing the distribution, maintenance and safe-keeping of all the Club's kit and equipment, including a large-scale laundry operation, he has travelled all over the world with the team to carry out his duties, venturing to Asia, Africa, North America, across Europe and even to the Arctic Circle. He worked at the Club's League Cup Final victory at Wembley in 2008, in addition to numerous FA Cup semi-finals at the national stadium and the 2019 UEFA Champions League Final in Madrid."
