Janeth dos Santos Arcain (Carapicuíba, São Paulo, Brazil, April 11, 1969) is a Brazilian basketball player. She worked as a winger and was one of the exponents of the selection, being a world champion in 1994 and winning two Olympic medals. Janeth is the third highest scorer in the team's history, having scored 2,247 points in 138 official games, averaging 16.3 points per game. At WNBA, the professional women's basketball league associated with the NBA, she played for the Houston Comets, for which she was four-time champion of the North American league. Initially willing to retire after the 2006 World Cup in Brazil, in which she was fourth, Janeth decided to remain in the selection until the 2007 Pan in Rio, where she retired from professional basketball with the silver medal
