Ramon Charles Torres, known as Ramon Charles was born and raised in Los Feliz, Los Angeles. His love for filmmaking began at the young age of 3-years-old, indulging in thriller and horror classics such as The Birds (1963), The Stalker (1979), Young Frankenstein (1974), A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984), Black Sabbath (1963), Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988), The Shining (1980), Suspiria (1977), Jaws (1975), and Halloween (1972). After adapting to all cliches in the horror & thriller genre, at 5-years-old Ramon was inspired enough to pitch a single location feature length film concept to his grandmother titled, The Tunnel. As Ramon grew into his childhood and sports, his love for the cinema began to fade. Although, when he was asked as an early teenager what he would do later on in life, filmmaking was the first aspiration that came to mind. After graduating high school, reality began to hit and he was left questioning how he'll contribute to this world. It was at this moment, his love and passion for filmmaking was reborn. Ramon Charles became a filmmaker because he believes the power of storytelling could resonate and comfort people in some of their darkest and brightest moments in life. He tells stories in hope to make an emotional and societal impact on those from all backgrounds. Over the years he's developed a recurrent style, voice, and theme with his films of one generation bequeathing things both painful and beautiful to the next.
