Michael Andrew Poole

Michael Andrew Poole was born on Friday April 8, 1988 in Tucson, Arizona to Mark Anthony Poole and Kristen Marie Poole (née Springer). His upbringing was somewhat nomadic for the first 13 years of his life, having moved with his family from Tucson, Arizona to Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom, then Layton, Utah, followed by Warner Robbins, Georgia, with a brief stint in Livingston, Texas before he and his family settled in Auburn, California in the Summer of 2001. Michael graduated from Placer High School in 2006, and attended Cabrillo College in Fall of 2006/Spring of 2007 as an undecided major. He left school to work at In-N-Out, and left In-N-Out to work in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico as a volunteer in a rehabilitation facility for 6 months where he learned to speak Spanish. Upon his return to California, he returned to school at Sierra College in Fall of 2009 with the initial goal of studying Computer Science, then flunking out of the program after failing to grasp Calculus I sufficiently, and then pivoted to Communication Studies - Multimedia where he learned to use computers to make art, including graphic design, web design, video production and editing, and photo retouching and manipulation. After graduating from Sierra College in Spring of 2015, Michael transferred to California State University, Monterey Bay where he studied Communication Design - Web Design. However, this was not a good fit and after 2 semesters he flunked out of the program. Once again, he pivoted, and enrolled at Cabrillo College and Hartnell College to fill out undergraduate requirements to re-enroll at CSUMB in their Cinematic Arts and Technology program. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Michael Andrew Poole graduated from California State University, Monterey Bay with his B.A. in Cinematic Arts and Technology with distinction in the major.
