Maurice Micklewhite was born in Toronto, Canada. He is a writer who acts (and sometimes sings) in his films. His genre is dialogue-driven political farce comedy - he has described his work as what would result "If Aaron Sorkin wrote for Monty Python." He is known for being able to write scripts extremely quickly, and caring more about creative control than money. As an actor he is known for being able to do a range of accents and impressions (and pick up new ones almost instantly), obsessive preparation and line-memorization, and being extremely efficient on set - working for hours straight without breaks to stay on schedule. He has a small dog.
