Kanishya Villegas

Kanishya (which means ""The most powerful and basic thing in the world" in Sanskrit) was raised in Glen Rock, NJ as a first generation Colombian-American. Kanishya knew she was an actress early in life. At the age of 3, she asked her mother to enroll her into acting classes at a local acting school. She went on to study with them for 10 years. During that time she performed in plays such as Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, and Annie. At the age of 14, her school did an international program where she was afforded the opportunity to travel to Istanbul and Ankara to perform Into the Woods. When she was not rehearsing for any of the plays she was in, she would spend her time singing for her local church or volunteering. Since moving to Los Angeles in 2018, she has signed with a talent manager and has performed in short films such as Modern Dating, Unicornios, Unwritten Rule, Sonder: A Long Goodbye and Love Struck.
