Laura Im

Laura was born in Seoul, South Korea and moved to the States when she was 14 years old. She was raised in Greenlawn, New York. She studied Global Liberal Studies at New York University, but she transferred to University of Southern California and settled down in Los Angeles to purse acting. She also studied acting at British American Drama Academy in London. Her works include short film, student film, and theatre. She played Su-Ahn in the short film "Far from Abroad" which was shot in Frankfurt, Germany. Su-Ahn struggled to settle down in Germany as a foreigner in the movie. "Far from Abroad" has been selected and won some awards in a number of festivals. Laura speaks both Korean and English fluently while she also speaks conversational German. She was trained as a classical singer and was in All-State choir in high school. She has been to 43 countries including 6 continents. As she has a heart for North Korean defectors, she has been volunteering to teach English to North Korean defectors.
