Michele Granger is a former American Olympic softball pitcher. She was born in Placentia, California in January 1970. Michele made the USA National Team at just 16 years old. While attending the University of California-Berkeley, she set a NCAA record for career strikeouts (1640). Graduating in 1993, she got bachelor degrees in history and mass communications. Michele appeared in the baseball documentary Baseball Girls (1995). The following year, she and her team would earn a gold medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics, in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. Michele went on to coach at numerous universities, such as at the University of Tennessee (2001-2004) and later became a dedicated high school softball coach. She resides with her husband, John Poulos and their four children (Nicholas, Kady, John Michael and Lindsay).
