Sharon Brook Lee grew up in Seoul, South Korea and the US, and is equally fluent in Korean and English. She learned English at an international school in South Korea, and moved to Greenville, South Carolina for high school. She enrolled in University of Richmond as a psychology major to her parents' wishes, then secretly switched her major to theater. She wrote and co-directed two plays with Alana Wiljanen that authentically represent her background and reflect her culture, and performed her one-woman play 'Lost In Transition' in both Seoul, South Korea and Richmond, Virginia. Upon graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to start the acting program at UCLA, but spent three years juggling various part time jobs as a flying yoga instructor, dentist assistant, financial office assistant, barista, and a webtoon Korean-English translator. After talking to professionals in the industry, she ended up studying screenwriting at UCLA instead, and finished the program with 3 original television pilots, 2 spec scripts, and wrote another feature and short afterwards. But every time she saw actors on the screen, she knew she wanted to be out there, bringing these characters on paper to life. Ever since she's launched her acting career, she's been on many student films to shorts and a feature, and a national commercial. Her favorite books are: 'Anyway' by Kent M. Keith, 'Hope for the Flowers' by Trina Paulus, and her favorite film is 'Le Hérisson' (Aka: The Hedgehog) directed by Mona Achache. In her downtime, she enjoys playing the piano, singing bossa nova, aerial yoga, baking vegan cupcakes, and writing on her typewriter.
