Jay Towns is a Chicago-based actor, musician, photographer, creative director, entrepreneur, and video blogger. He is most well-known for his involvement in Chicago film & theatre, his music career, and his online personality. Jay Towns attends Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where he studies Theatre, Music Theatre, Music Technology, and Entrepreneurship. His involvements on Northwestern's campus include STITCH Magazine, The Bix Improv, Northwestern Sketch TV, Undertones A Cappella, The Waa-Mu Show, The .WAV Company, and The Garage. Outside of school, Jay Towns has developed numerous projects of his own. In 2018, Jay Towns founded Towns Photography, a Chicago-based photography company that primarily works with performers. In June 2020, Jay Towns released an original 8-track album titled "2K," after his birth year. This self-produced album includes tracks that span the genres of Pop, R&B, Soul, and Hip-Hop. Since the release of 2K, Jay Towns has released several singles in collaboration with other Chicago filmmakers and artists, including the notable collaboration of his song "Green" which was featured in the film "It's Not You, It's Me" by Hannah Lindvall. Other notable music ventures include his headlining artist status at both Chicago MiniFest in March 2020 and the first installment of the SunSets Concert Series in September 2020.
