Davi Boarato

Davi Boarato has a degree in Social Communication from ESPM (2007) and has worked as a screenwriter and audiovisual director since 2008. He was a founding partner of Coletivo Galeria Experience (2008/2012). He started his career in audiovisual directing dozens of videos for Folha de São Paulo (2008/2009). He was a screenwriter and director of the medium-length documentary "WeMusic" (2010) in partnership with MIS São Paulo. He was one of the artists selected for the book "Geração 00" by Eder Chiodetto, which presents the work of 52 Brazilian artists who are present in current photographic production, with his video series "Um, dois, Três e já" (2010). He was director of photography and editor of the program "Base Aliada" (2012) for the GNT channel. He was a screenwriter and director of the medium-length documentary with Naná Vasconcelos, entitled "Calungá, the sea that separates is the sea that unites." (2012), released on DVD in the same year. He was scene director of the ParanoidLab label of the producer Paranoid in 2012. His photo essay "Mirror" is part of the exhibition "[Re] presentaciones: Fotografía Latinoamericana Contemporánea", from the PhotoEspaña Festival and was exhibited in Madrid and Quito (2014). He was a screenwriter and director for two seasons, with 12 episodes each, of the documentary series "Festival de Circo" (2015/2016) for SescSP. He is also a screenwriter in partnership with writer Clara Averbuck and director of the medium-length documentary "Essa é minha vez" (2016), which was shown in movie theaters in São Paulo. He directed, in partnership with Australian Alicia Cameron, the documentary short film "Eko Water Buses" (2018), filmed in Istanbul, Turkey. He also serves as a director and executive producer of films for advertising campaigns for brands such as Red Bull, Ben & Jerry's, John Deere, L'Occitane, Microsoft, C & A, among others.
