Marek Cermak

Marek studied at the Department of Theatre and Film Studies from Palacky University in Olomouc. He worked for several film festivals, Czech Television, Central Bohemia Film Office and currently studies at the Department of Directing on FAMU and simultaneously Film Studies in post-gradual program on Palacky University, where he also used to teach analytical seminar on the subject of contemporary festival cinema. He worked as a commercial director and editor and as a freelance reporter for some online and printed magazines. He was a personal assistant for Mrs Agnieszka Holland on the film Charlatan, where he also worked as a Post-production Supervisor. Marek is an alumnus of the MIDPOINT Feature Launch in 2016 and a participant of Central Europe Film Project with his first feature titled Homeland. He is a member of a European Film Academy and participant of Zurich Film Festival Industry Academy 2020. Since November 2020 he works also as a Game Designer for Warhorse Studios.
