Zizheng (Boris) Liu, a current USC School of Cinematic Arts, MFA candidate. His main focus is on directing and producing. In March 2020, he graduated from UCSB with a bachelor's degree in Film and Media Studies. During his study at UCSB, he became the president of the International Student Film Association(ISFA) and the Vice President of the CSSA International Cultural Exchange Club (CSSA ICE) from 2018-2020. And one of his films "The Dumpling King" (documentary) has been invited to the 35th Santa Barbara International Film Festival and 16th Chinese American Film Festival as an Official Selection. The screening took place on January 19th, 2020 in the Arlington Theatre, Santa Barbara. News press including Santa Barbara Independent, Santa Barbara News-Press, The Current, and The Bottom Line has been interviewing and reporting the screening of "The Dumpling King" and its story. In January 2021, Zizheng started his study at USC as a graduate student. His student projects "Ping Pong(dir.)" "Venice Drifting(prod.)" and "Going Slow, Really Fast(dp.)" won winners in festivals and are still in other festival circuits. On internship experience, Zizheng worked as a contract videographer in Santa Barbara Independent in 2020; worked as assistant director at Easyfind Pictures in 2021; worked as a director in TCL Research America and IDEO Studio for their animation projects; worked as Cinematography Student Assistant in USC's 508 class in 2022.
